The long frame machines were developed for projects where the size of the launch shaft plays a minor role. These machines allow for the use of steel pipes up to 18 m length. The jacking machines BM 400LS, BM 400LSC, BM 600LS, BM600LSC and BM 800L enable economic drillings up to 120 m (394 ft) length and up to OD 1400 (55").

For inner-city projects Bohrtec developed the range of Compact Machines:
BM 150D for trenchless construction of connecting sewers up to ID 250 (10") or for direct underground connection to existing main sewers. BM 400 for creation of small sewers up to ID 400 (16"). BM 500 for creation of small sewers from ID 300 (12") through ID 800 (32").
BM 150DT for creation of drillings out of jacking pipes or tunnels ≥ ID 1200 (47.2").
BM 400T for creation of drillings up to an DA 620 (24.4) out of tunnels ≥ ID 2000 (78.7).
